At SMART with HEART, our volunteers are the heartbeat of everything we do. From assisting in lessons and caring for the horses to helping with events and supporting families, volunteers make it possible for us to deliver consistent, high-quality programs to our participants.
Consistency is vital in equine-assisted services. Many of our riders and participants rely on familiar faces, steady routines, and dependable support. By showing up week after week, our volunteers create a safe, welcoming environment that allows our participants to grow in confidence, independence, and joy.
Who Can Volunteer?

- Ages 16 and up are welcome.
- No horse experience is required: We provide training!
- Volunteer opportunities are flexible, from weekly commitments to event support.
