At SMART with HEART, every participant begins with our intake process to ensure safety, readiness, and the best possible program fit.

  • Application & Medical Clearance: All participants are required to complete an application and provide a doctor’s medical clearance form.
  • Assessment: Once applications are received, our PATH Intl. Certified Instructors conduct an assessment to evaluate the participant’s abilities, needs, goals, and any special considerations.
  • Semester Scheduling: We operate on a 12-week semester system. This provides structure and consistency for our participants while also allowing flexibility for families to commit to other activities between sessions.
  • Returning Participants: Individuals enrolled in a semester are given first right of refusal to continue into the next semester.
  • Waitlist: After returning participants confirm their spots, openings are offered to those on our waitlist in the order applications were received.

This process allows us to serve each participant with the attention they deserve while welcoming new families into our programs.
